I don’t know if you know this, but I have been a big fan of Taylor Swift for a while. When her documentary came out on Netflix, I knew that I’d have to find some alone time to sit down, watch it, and absorb. That opportunity came while James and I were in London for his father’s birthday!
As I was watching the documentary, it struck me that Taylor was being extremely vulnerable. She was sharing some huge personal moments, moments of growth, and reactions to powerful triggers. I was especially impressed by how she came out of the Twitter backlash that came from her run-ins with Kanye.
I’m sitting there, listening to her talk about this huge moment of clarity, and realized that we ALL have hashtags that represent our fears.
“We have to find love within ourselves and recognize how incredible we are and recognize that even if people do say the thing we are most scared of, we will be able to keep going on.” -Emily Williams
So, I created an exercise that I went through with my mastermind members and I want you to participate as well. What is the absolute worst thing that someone could say about you and turn it into a hashtag. It can be personal, business related, family related… but it needs to represent that one huge fear that keeps you from taking action.
Once you’ve gone through the exercise, I want you to share with me on social media. Let’s create a movement of women who are facing their deepest fears and working to stride right past them.
Not everyone was born to like you and that is perfectly okay! Listen in and walk through this exercise with me. What are your biggest fears and how can you start taking steps to move past them?
