we're I HEART MY LIFE

For the past few weeks, I’ve been working on the script for a 4-part video series we’re filming next week in London.

I’m super excited about the content, and I can’t wait to be able to share it with you very soon.

However, one of the things I didn’t expect to come up throughout this process was resistance to writing the actual script for the videos.

You see, I love writing. I’ve written a book (pending publication) and have a MA in Non-Fiction Writing. I’ve been keeping journals since I was really young, and well, the thought of outsourcing these emails to you makes me really sad so that’s definitely not happening anytime in the near future.

But for some reason, writing these scripts has been more challenging than usual. Getting myself to sit down and actually take the hours required has been a process – that’s for sure.

However, one of the things that got me through was a little acronym called JFDI.

What does it mean?

Well, I’m not usually someone who swears, but when one of my clients told me that her mom use to use “JFDI” on her from time to time (I can’t take credit for it!), I fell in love and knew I had to adopt it for myself and IHML.

It means “Just F-ing Do It”.

In my opinion, as women, we are being called to take more action, and it’s really a requirement for big success.

I know, I know, we love to feel into things, process, journal about, and “just sit on it” for days, months, and years.

We love to make sure everything is perfect about the timing and the amount of money we have saved in the bank before we leap.

And believe me, I appreciate the consideration, but that attitude doesn’t always serve us or our extraordinary goals.

The most successful people make decisions quickly and take action consistently. They learn to trust their gut and step into their power. And during the times where that resistance starts to creep up, they adopt that JFDI mentality and just do it.

This year I’ve gone from making $442 in my business to over half a million in sales. And that’s possible for you too, but it requires consistent action taking.

Of course there’s a time for peaceful retreats and mountain-top meditation, but if you’re trying to get a business off the ground, in my opinion, now’s not the time for that.

There are going to be moments in your life and business where your upper limit (see The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks) tries to swoop in and get you to stop taking action.

But you don’t have to give in.

Our minds make these tasks like script-writing or sales email-sending into ice-covered strenuous mountain climbs that you’re doing with a broken arm and leg, but in reality, you can do it.

And in my experience, when you finally do, it’s not as hard as you made it out to be.

There are going to be times where you’re tired and wondering if you have the energy for that sales email or scheduling a few posts on Facebook.

There are going to be days where you maybe don’t actually want to work on creating that group program.

That’s where JFDI comes in.

You can do this.

(And while we’re on the subject, a little resistance isn’t a sign that your whole life is going in the wrong direction so stop making it one!)

No more starting and stopping with your dreams, lovely.

You’re better than that.

JFDI, and you’ll start to see the big results that I know you want.

FOUNDER & CEO

I started I Heart My Life from my kitchen table in a tiny London apartment in 2013.

After going through a 5-year quarter-life crisis, I discovered the world of personal development and the power of a gratitude journal and finally got clear on my true purpose in life: to help women fall in love with themselves and their lives. I Heart My Life has gone through many transformations over the years, but its mission has always remained the same: we exist to teach you how to create a life that you love.
