Just a few days ago, I was talking to my 7-figure business owner client — let’s call her Jane. She just signed up to work with James and me privately for another year, and on our call, she told us all about her process and making the decision. She described how she told her husband about the opportunity (it’s over 6-figures to work with us for a year) and he was thrilled for her — no insecurity or “we could never afford that” came up for him. To be honest, when she told me that story, I cried because that level of support is not the norm. We hear so many stories of women with partners who are unsupportive, friends who think their dreams are crazy and parents who evoke fear and disbelief in their children which causes them to put on the breaks or give into to doubt. BUT! Like the story above, it doesn’t have to be that way. One of the reasons Jane is where she is today is because of the network she’s cultivated for herself. She made a decision to surround herself with support — not just in her personal life, but in her professional life as well. What about you? What’s your network or support system like?
