Creating a content strategy that moves your audience through all the phases of awareness is extremely important, but it shouldn’t take up all of your time. Which is why Mallory Majcher, our Head of Marketing at I Heart My Life is taking over the podcast to share her tips for creating an amazing content strategy.

The best way to think about your content strategy is within the boundaries of objectives. Before you ever start working on content you should have clear goals in mind for how you want to move your potential customer through their journey with you.

What does this look like?

Take stock of your key performance indicators, determine which ones are important to you and your brand and where you want to focus. It is often a daunting task to touch every single platform, so focus on the ones that are sure to put you in front of your target audience.

Track your numbers, figure out who your ideal client or target audience is, and then start building out your strategy.

Now this strategy is objective based for a reason. Each of the objectives corresponds with one element of the “know, like, and trust” factor that you hear so much about. Not everyone on your list is at the same level of awareness about you or your brand, so you need to create content that speaks to each segment at the right time.

The three objectives are awareness, conversation, and conversion. Listen in as I share exactly what these three objectives mean within the scope of the customer journey and how you can start rotating your content with them in mind. If you love puppies then you’ll definitely want to hear my example of how one message can and should be altered for the three different stages of awareness.

Are you ready to start creating more strategic content rather than filling the world with more “stuff?”

FOUNDER & CEO

I started I Heart My Life from my kitchen table in a tiny London apartment in 2013.

After going through a 5-year quarter-life crisis, I discovered the world of personal development and the power of a gratitude journal and finally got clear on my true purpose in life: to help women fall in love with themselves and their lives. I Heart My Life has gone through many transformations over the years, but its mission has always remained the same: we exist to teach you how to create a life that you love.
