One of the biggest lessons I’ve had to learn over the past few years is to let go of control in our business.
I’ve had to learn to delegate and recognize that I’m not supposed to do it all, and I can’t if I want to achieve my dreams.
I’ve had to learn how to allow the space for my big ideas to come in. To relax. That hard work alone doesn’t equal all that I desire.
And I’m seeing the benefits of letting go and allowing…
Recently, James and I travelled out of London to one of our favorite luxury country hotels.
We spent time at the spa, and during my treatment, I got one of the strongest divine downloads I’ve ever received about the next steps in our business.
Throughout the next 45 minutes, as lotion, exfoliator, clay and goodness knows what else, was applied to my skin, I ran through the next 30+ years in my mind.
(As you can tell, I’m still a work in progress when it comes to relaxation.)
I saw the vision so clearly.
Clearer than I’ve ever seen in before.
And I couldn’t wait to come out and share everything with James.
After my treatment, my therapist asked if she could make me some ginger tea. I hesitated because I wanted to rush off. Did I have time for tea?
(There’s always time for tea.)
I said yes, and while I was waiting, I ran back to my locker to retrieve my gold manifestation book.
In the next few minutes, I wrote the whole plan. The next 5 years in detail and an overview of the next 30 years.
Then I texted James.
In the back of my mind, I was thinking, “Oh God, he’s going to think I’m crazy. Who goes into a massage and comes out with the next 30 years planned out? We’re in the middle of my other divine download…”
But instead, I was met with this response…
This is why I love this man. He knows who he married, and he’s up for adventure.
I also love that this is a normal text in our world. It doesn’t scare him. Or me.
I now know that I don’t have to know “the how”. Other people will help me with that.
My job as the visionary is to be the vessel for the vision — even when it comes in the middle of a facial. Especially then.
And to say yes on behalf of my dreams and the impact we’re creating with the I Heart My Life movement.
What if you operated this way? What if you were open? What if you stopped blocking yourself? What if you were willing to receive inspiration and focus on what could be instead of what didn’t seem possible? What if you surrounded yourself by people primed and ready for take off and the journey?
My guess is that everything would change. It’s possible. It’s there for the taking.
It’s there. It’s coming. Trust.
